Why it's in the guide
Circle and District line station on the eastern edge of Notting Hill, open since 1868 and useful for Queensway and the Bayswater side of the neighbourhood. A relic of the steam era survives around the corner at Leinster Gardens, where two fake house fronts were built to hide the railway cutting. Check TfL before travel if step-free access matters.
Less than 100 metres from Queensway station — swapping to the Central line on foot is the quickest interchange trick around here.
