Why it's in the guide
Grade II listed building originally built as a theatre in 1898, later became a cinema, now restored as an international arts venue. It has a 195-seat main auditorium and a 90-seat studio, presenting international theatre, dance, music, poetry and film.
Arrive when doors open — the candlelit, antique-filled bar is half the experience, and it stays open until 11pm after the show.
